Mission report: Germany April 2017

(in English, please find it in German below)

Dear Brethren,

From the 7th to the 9th of April we were visited by eleven brethren who travelled here from the Czech Republic, the U.S. as well as from different parts of Germany. The nationalities represented were Nigerian, Czech, American and German. The meetings were held in our flat and this fellowship was a great blessing throughout.

The meetings started with a short vision that was shared: It showed a steep huge mountain with a sharp top. The mountain was covered with snow. Then a skier started right under the top and drove down the mountain in accurate curves. Then the face of the skier was shown and it was a woman. Her scarf fluttered in the wind and she had a smile on her face. – The vision was interpreted as to show the church handling every part of her discipleship (especially the “dangerous” ones) with ease, peace and joy as the Lord grants to her safe passage on the basis of His salvation that brought righteousness to us (= snow).

The main topic of the meetings was the basis of salvation connected to God´s desire for sons. One of the main biblical references was the calling of Abraham and the relationship between God and him. From this on Bro. Burt Asbill extended on the tabernacle, especially on the furniture of the outer court. The encouragement that God implemented in these messages was to head for son ship towards God. Thereby we should take our position of heirs in power and fullness as He leads us on individually in the process of being saved. As God developed the message He was targeting at individual healing as well as at the various circumstances and questions of the brethren.

To me it was very edifying to perceive that the Lord gives the power to overcome every obstacle to every individual believer in order to establish the position of divine heir and to become a son of God.

Stephanie and I are very grateful for this weekend of fellowship and for the efforts of the brethren to come and stay overnight here in Berlin. We pray for a prospering of resurrection life both in the individuals and the (international) fellowships.

UK Summer Camp 2016

This year’s summer camp of Zion Christian Academy C.i.C took place in Towyn, Abergele, North Wales area. A total of 19 children between the ages of 3 to 14, accompanied by 9 adults took part in this year’s group holiday tour that was situated along the sea coast bordering Wales in the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and Ireland. Lyons Winkups Holiday Park provided an ideal venue for residential activities due to excellent self-catering accommodation including an on-site secure play area and swimming facilities; with convenient stores and supermarkets readily available nearby.

We started our Tuesday with a time for some ‘Zion songs’ and prayer. A brief discuss was given by Sister Bola Aganna, of what to expect and look forward to and who to contact if in need for help and support. The morning continued with a short exhortation form Brother Burt, titled, ‘Being a Responsible Child’. Prayers were made and the session closed for lunch.

Mission Trip to Germany – Part 2

Good Morning and God’s Blessings to you all,

We have been back in the U.S. now for a few weeks and I would like to share with you some impressions concerning this visit that I believe the Lord has/is giving me concerning our stay in Germany. In some respects this is an overall view of what it is that the Lord has so graciously given me to understand His thoughts and desires for the people of this land. As I have had this time to reflect back on our time there, I believe that I can say that it was indeed a very blessed time for us personally, as well as profitable for the sake of the Kingdom of God. I believe that I mentioned in the last report that there is a very strong sense in the Spirit, as well as evidence in the natural, that God is indeed moving in this land called Germany. Moreover, He is moving to restore the foundation of this Word of Sonship that was delivered there some eighteen plus years ago. It is a platform from which this ongoing revelation of God’s plan for the salvation of humanity can be ministered to the people who have hungry hearts and who have a desire to know the truth[1]. There may not be many, but the few that are there will in many respects be a part of that remnant of our God/Jehovah-Nissi[2]‘s overcoming people. This remnant can play a part in the deliverance of humanity in their locality and possibly on a global basis and be a well of salvation even as those that were a part of Gideon’s company were instrumental in the deliverance of Israel from the hand of the Midianites.

Perhaps it would be necessary for me to share with you some of the history concerning the fellowship of this word of Sonship and its interaction with Germany. It was probably 17 to 18 years ago that the Lord moved upon a small contingent of people, which included Brother duCille, to go to Germany and share the burden of the word with this people. It was by His grace that I was allowed to be a part of that contingent of people who came at that time to establish a beachhead for the Kingdom of God, not only for Germany, but also for the land of Switzerland. It was very much like the explorers of old as they would go out to explore the New World, for as they would put their foot upon the soil of that place, they would plant the flag of their king, in our case Jehovah-Nissi, and proclaim that land for our King, Jehovah-Nissi, as being a part of His Kingdom. It may seem a bit presumptuous to say, but it is nevertheless true! As it was with Abram  so it is of us who are of the seed of Abraham;[3] Genesis 13:17, “Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee… and unto thy seed forever.”

I have often wondered and inquired of God as to the reason that He would take somebody that is a nobody, sustain them in their living as well as the life that is in their bodies; continually put them/me into situations and circumstances concerning the establishment and the growth and development of that Son/Manchild church on a global scale. Experiences that were so totally beyond the scope of their/my understanding and their/my ability “to…….. comprehend ……… (the) breadth, and length, and depth, and height[4];” of this message concerning the plans and purposes of EL-Shaddai[5] as it pertains to His desires and intent. I have come to the conclusion that He has sustained me so that I might be a witness[6] (there are but a few of us left), concerning the global aspect of it, of those things that have happened and that I/we might testify to the reality of them as they pertain to us now! That you might comprehend the magnitude of what ”ĕlôhı̂ym-el-o-heem’ /THE EL SHADDAI means in this time frame as it concerns the message of Sonship and those who would desire to have it, at this time, Germany in particular.

It is our Elôhı̂ym/El-Elyon[7] who is working to establish oases of living water in the souls of individuals that those that are around them might be able to partake of that water. In the natural, oases are places of refuge in a very hot, dry, and hostile environment – an environment that wants to drain you of your life and energy and in the end of the day kill you. Oases in that context, when seen from afar off, create within the individual the feeling of hope and give the victim that is caught in that set of circumstances the sense of hope and an expectancy of relief that they will live and not perish. To one who sees it in this context it brings a sense of gladness as the sense of being liberated from the horrible death of dehydration brings an expected hope that sustains them and strengthens them to make for the water that they may drink of it.

As it is true in the natural so it is also true in the spirit, both for good as well as the bad. Speaking of the bad, during our time in Germany this past month, it has been impressed upon me the reality of the spiritual condition of this land and the dehydration of the people who dwell there. Because there is a populace that is on the verge of spiritual extinction, God has purposed to intervene and circumvent the plan of the devil. Perhaps you do not believe that such a scenario of spiritual extinction could be possible in these modern times and in a civilized society, especially when we have so many denominations that purport Christianity; they are but mirages that delude and deceive and eventually kill the soul, as the natural mirages kill the body. If that case scenario of extinction is true, Elohim would and could mobilize but a few to stop it. I would like to remind you of the story that is in John the 4th chapter beginning at the 3rd verse. It is a story that we all know, so I will not relay the whole of it, but Jesus had an appointment that was arranged by His Father God. It is the story of Jesus and the woman at the well. There are a few spiritual facts that I want to point out in this story that are pertinent with Germany.

We need to first look at the context of the story with the understanding that Jesus is representing The Word[8] and the woman is representing the church. It was a discussion that had religion as its subject concerning Jews and Samaritans as to their right to worship and where they should worship. We all know how the Jews felt about the Samaritans as they were the progenitors of Jacob and had the right of patriarchal worship, [9] as well as to the where that they should worship. So the Lord Jesus was addressing the religious deception that was prevailing over all of Israel/Christianity at that time, and from that time hence. But I want to stick with the thought as to how this story in some way relates to what it was the Lord was showing me about Germany and the moving of God in that arena. I use this illustration because it is quite apropos to the situation, not only in Germany, but globally.

One of the significant points of the story is in the opening lines. In verse three it states “He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.” Let us look deeper into the revelation that is found in that seemingly simple statement. Judaea is indicative of the Sonship Company[10]. It is speaking of a positional place of authority and being under the jurisdiction of the Father – in other words, the duty and responsibility that is given to the Sonship Company of people to do a particular thing.

The next thing that I would like us to look at a bit more closely is where it was He was going, “and departed again into Galilee.” There are two words in this very short sentence that are important. The first of which is the word again. When it uses the word again it means that there was a time or times previously when He was in that region of the country before and I believe that it is talking about a visitation that is yet to come in the not too distant future. There have been many visitations to the church at-large. Many times God has poured out His Spirit as was needed to revive and to strengthen the remnant that was still alive. But here it seems that this natural event with Jesus had prophetic overtones for a time that was yet to come, when the people of God would find themselves in a similar situation that had the same religious malady of deception that the society of God’s people at that time were having. It is yet prophetic as to the coming of yet another revival where the cloud of that deception will be removed. As to the story of the woman and the well, it meant that there was some unfinished business that needed/needs to be taken care of. As was the situation for Jesus pertaining to the business of the Father concerning Galilee, so is it true with that segment of the world that is called Germany.  As there was/is a work that started in Germany so many years ago, not in the sense of any kind of concrete substance of a church or fellowship per se, for the devil and his black knight prince made sure that any visual remnants of it were totally and completely obliterated. However it was as the grain of a mustard seed that was planted in the earth and it cannot and shall not be removed. As it was the mantle passed from Moses unto Joshua/Yeshua [11], so was that mantle passed from Yeshua unto us/message of Sonship[12], as far as Germany is concerned. It is unto this seed that Elôhı̂ym/El-Roi[13] is now preparing to send the Water of His Word.

Now as to this particular thing or task it is given in verse four, “And he must needs go through Samaria.” The word “needs go through” and the order in which it is expressed in this passage of scripture is expressed with an emphatic nature that states a designated purpose for a designated reason as to a designated place. The dictionary defines the word emphatic as that which must be done from a sense of duty. I believe that it is necessary for me to pause here and insert a thought that is coming to me. I first must apologize for using the pronoun I or me. I am not applying it as to an individual entity or person as I am applying it to a corporate movement of God in the sense of those who carry and deliver a message to be given at a particular place in a particular time. It is the message that is important and not the messenger. That being said I want to state that Jesus had an appointment that was made for Him by the Father, to share a word of deliverance and hope to a woman who had no spiritual significance and whose living condition was that of an adulterer. It is much like today’s denominational system with its pastoral position of dominance that requires the allegiance of its congregation as a husband would require the submission of a wife. In the sight of God it robs Him, the Elôhı̂ym, of their love and adoration. So also I believe that God is moving in Germany and is sending the water of His word of hope, deliverance and salvation to water that seed which was planted, that the life that is in the seed might indeed germinate and have the opportunity to come to fruition and harvest.

I’d like to include here a dream Brother Guido Lemke shared that he had about twenty years ago: In the dream I received two closed envelopes from above. I asked, “What do they contain?” and the bigger one opened and out came a piece of paper with the word “believe” on it and the smaller one opened and showed “patience” (in German: Glaube & Geduld). A voice told me that I would be in need of the two. I started to study the word and found the promise of the latter rain in several scriptures.

Perhaps you would ask if a few people can indeed make a difference, or for that matter turn things around? Well, there are two very good classic examples of what God can do with willing hearts. One of them is this story as there were only two people to begin with: Jesus the Messenger and the woman as the listener. It brought a revival to the whole town. The other scriptural example is that of Gideon and his three hundred souls that defeated an army of many thousands and brought deliverance to the entire nation of Israel. So the answer to that thought is an emphatic yes!

We were by the grace of God able to spend about six days of fellowship with Brother and Sister Lemke. They are a family who live in Berlin that has recently come into the fellowship of this word. It was a very blessed time for Nancy and me. It was also a blessing to have Brother Tomas as well as his wife Sister Magda to visit with all of us over the weekend that we were there. I am always very blessed to see individuals, as well as couples, interrupt their various, very busy schedules to make the effort, in spite of the hardships that it may create, to follow the will of God and to join in the effort to facilitate the move of God. Many were the discussions concerning our experiences collectively as well as the unveiling of the mysteries of God’s Word in a more relaxed type of environment of fellowship and comradery.

Here again I would like to share with you something that the Lemkes have shared with me. They testified that they experienced the moving of the Lord during this time of fellowship in an increase of hearing what God is speaking (through dreams, visions, words, pictures, testimonies, etc.) and an increase in encouragement to open up to His will and to accomplish whatever He is asking for. We felt a great liberty to put ANY question / impression / thought concerning His word / will and personal experiences on the table that we shared with the two of you as well as with Tomas and Magdalena. There was a freedom to grow to any extent the Almighty would allow (Romans 8:21).

I certainly cannot speak for all of those who participated in this effort, both in Germany as well as abroad, both those who physically were present as well as those who were in prayer and intercession for this particular trip, but what I can say, without a shadow of doubt, is that for Nancy and myself it was extremely encouraging as well as it was very, very profitable. I am looking forward with expectation to the coming conference that is to be held there this coming mid-October.

Because He is, we are your Brother and Sister in Christ,
The Asbills

Mission Trip to Germany (August 2015)

As I was writing an email to a sister this morning, it occurred to me that it might be expedient for us to let the brethren know that the Lord is moving in Germany.

Our time here has been very productive, both concerning the mind of God for Germany as well as for Nancy and myself. As it applies to us, the scheduling over the last two years has been quite heavy with very little down time for us to be able to catch our breath as well as catching up on our strength. I think that we were both running on the reserve tank. You know that little light that looks like a gas pump that is displayed on your dash when you run out of gas? Well I think ours was in the blinking stage. Needless to say Nancy and I have appreciated the graciousness of Brother and Sister Doerge for their hospitality and generosity.

On the spiritual side of things, our visit here could not have been timelier. It was on the last visit earlier this year that Nancy and I both felt quickened of the Lord for us to return before the end of the year. Our desire was to spend a longer time of fellowship with the brethren whom we knew and had fellowship with more than seventeen years ago. It was determined in the course of time that the time should be now. With that being said, we arrived at the Cologne/Bonn airport on the 5th of August and were very warmly greeted and welcomed by Brother Harmut and Sister Hannelore Doerge. Things were quite peaceful and quiet for the next few days. On Sunday there was a scheduled time of fellowship for the whole day with a family that we had previously been in fellowship with, but over the course of time and life’s events we lost contact with them. This particular family was part of the original group that was started here in the beginning of the work that Brother duCille pioneered. Our time of fellowship on Sunday was a blessed time and a divine appointment.

I believe that it was during the night and the following Monday that Sister Hannelore had a physical attack on her body. The symptoms were severe cramping and nausea. That Monday morning her husband took her to the doctor who immediately sent them to the hospital. After being examined it was determined that there might be the necessity for an operation – an operation that would have some serious consequences as well has creating a major disability for our sister. I felt in the Spirit that this attack was more spiritual than physical. Nancy and I began to send out a prayer alert to various people in various places in the world concerning the situation and what we needed God to do. The perception was in the Spirit that our presence here was helping to create a bulwark between our sister and the plans of the devil and that we were in some sense of the word, a first alert system that God had put into place for such a need. I am not sure that there is an awareness of those who have been involved in the work of God in this place, as to the importance that Brother and Sister Doerge have played in building a platform in Germany. You could just as well say a stronghold, for the work of God as it pertains to Germany and the strategic place that it takes. Nevertheless, our lack of understanding has not hindered the devil in his perception of it as to its importance in the economy of God. As far as that goes, the longer we are kept in the dark about it, ignorantly or willingly, the better it is for the devil. Can two people be so important in the midst of hundreds of thousands as far as the work of God is concerned? The answer to that one is absolutely. If there had not been a Lydia, there might not have been a church in Thyatira. Thus there would not have been a church to plant the seed of Sonship in what is now called Turkey; moreover, of equal importance a platform on which Asia could be reached. Had there been no Priscilla and Aquila of Pontus, Italy, there would not have been an Apollo to advance the Kingdom of God. Individuals, by the selection of God, will always be ordained of God for the advancement of the Kingdom of our Father. As it was then so it is now. As it was appropriate for the ministry to establish and strengthen the work of righteousness in those places and to the people to whom they are sent, so it is also pertinent for us in this time frame to strengthen the work in this place that the Kingdom of Light might prevail over the kingdom of darkness that now has the preeminent rule over this land and this people. You may not be aware of it, but your prayers have indeed worked a miracle as far as our sister is concerned. Jehovah Rapha (The Lord That Heals) made his presence known and our sister was delivered from the plan and purposes of Hell. Another major confrontation with the Black Knight of Bavaria ended in his defeat and failure to stop or stifle this Word of Sonship. For that we are praising and rejoicing in the Lord.

1Pe 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, Vrs:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: Vrs:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Vrs:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Vrs::5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

With much gratitude and appreciation for all your prayers and support,
Brother Burt & Sister Nancy

My Trip to Czech

By Vivian Kay Asbill (10)

I have really wanted to go with my dad and mom to the Czech Republic. This summer I started asking God if He would have me to go this fall. At the beginning of October my mom told me that I would be going with her and my dad to Czech… I was extremely excited.

On October 21st we went to the Moline Airport where we flew to Atlanta. Our friend, Mrs. Giegerich, also traveled with us. I liked flying in a plane and looking down at the little land below. Flying was so much fun that I stayed awake until our last flight which was from Amsterdam to Prague.

When we arrived in Czech, Grandpa Herrig, Mr. Giegerich, and Kristyna Kluson met us at the airport. We spent the first week of our trip in Prague, the Czech capital. Mrs. Kluson took us downtown and showed us the Prague astronomical clock which was built in 1410. It is the oldest working clock in the world. We saw the old city gate which was called the King’s Way because the kings would pass through the gates on their way to the castle. We also went to an old church called the Church of St. James. In the middle of the town square, there is a monument of Jan Hus who was a Christian martyr in the 1400’s. It was a wonderful day.

The following week we went to the conference in Moravia. We would have two meetings a day… one in the morning and another in the evening. I was very blessed by the meetings. During the afternoons we would do things like hiking up mountains and rock climbing. It was a beautiful view from the Moravian mountains. My favorite thing to do in the afternoon was to play with all the friends that I had made. I had fun learning Czech words such as ahoj, which means hello!

On November 1st my dad, mom, and I came back home. I was sad to leave Czech and all my new friends but I was also glad to see the rest of my family. I really enjoyed my trip to Czech and I can’t wait to go back!

Na shledanou! (Good bye)

Vivian and her dad

October 2013 Czech Conference

By Brothers Fikresilase Tsega and Jemal Shiferaw from Ethiopia

On Saturday, October 26, 2013, I, Fikresilase Tsega, and Jemal Shiferaw took off from Addis Ababa (the capital city of Ethiopia) to Prague, Czech Republic. We flew via Istanbul by Turk Airplane from Bole Ethiopian International Airport. After day and night travel we arrived at Istanbul International Airport at 6:50 A.M. according to their time counting. After two hours transit at Istanbul International airport we took off to the Czech Republic capital city Prague on a three hour flight by Turk Airplane and arrived at 11:45 A.M.

After we passed through security with our entrance visas, we walked to the airport main gate and there we met Brother Burt and his wife Nancy who were waiting for us. We were excited to see them and as they asked us about Ethiopia, we passed to them all the greetings we brought from the Ethiopian Christian community. Afterwards Brother Chijoke and his dear wife Iffy, who are from Nigeria, along with Brother Martin Hloska from the Czech Republic, took us by vehicle to Tursko, the small village where we were to stay.

I and my colleague joined many Christian families who had gathered to work together at the Prague fellowship’s place of gathering. What amazed us was that there is this large compound with their future worship building which was built by stones and bricks and it is about five hundred years old. Also in this compound we saw a single building where two brothers have been living as well as an upstairs prayer & worship hall. When we arrived there, we were warmly welcomed by Christians who were waiting for us, by the families who live in the compound and by brothers and sisters who came from various countries of the world to attend the conference. We were taken to Brother Radek’s house; it was he who sent us the invitation letter for the conference.

Subsequently, we were introduced to one another and invited for refreshment. When we arrived there it was almost lunch time; since the guests and the residents of the compound were waiting for us to have lunch, we joined them. The lunch was buffet; it was a self-service meal by making a line-up which is similar to Ethiopian custom. The difference was with the types of foods. There wasn’t any Injera and Wett (Ethiopian cultural food). Though it was a different type of food for us, Jemal and I enjoyed the meal. In fact, the meal we had on the airplane was wonderful. We entertained the rest of the hours chatting and introducing each other. After dinner we spent the night in the prayer building nice and warmly.

Remarkably, what amazes us was while we were in Prague we perceived that God has set different timing zones in different parts of the world. God has astonishingly balanced the position of the earth and the Sun and He separated the day and the night perfectly. We were in Prague at day where northern and southern Capricorn makes a change of day. Wow! It was a great experience for us. Praise be to God.

The following day we ate our breakfast at 8:30 A.M. and made ourselves ready for the 9:30 A.M. journey. Then Brother George brought his vehicle to take us to the Moravian region with two other Christians and with Brother Mark and his wife Rita. After two hours we took a short break to have refreshment. Even though my colleague Jemal didn’t eat anything, I and the travelers enjoyed having breakfast and soft drinks. Then we started our journey filling our vehicle with fuel.

After four to five hours we reached the place of the conference. The conference building and resort with a restaurant is located alongside a mountain in the village of Kuncice. This area is surrounded by dense forest. After arriving we registered by showing our passport; next we received our bedroom key to have a little rest. Afterwards we had dinner and then evening worship which started with prayer. Following this, Brother Burt shared with us God’s word. We felt the presence of God in the program. When the conference meeting was over we went to our bedroom.

The next day after we had our breakfast at 9:30 A.M., the worship program started. Brother Mark shared with us a wonderful message from God’s Word. We continued having a magnificent time until lunch time. In the following days we learned timely teachings by Brother Chijoke. These teachings were very relevant for the contemporary church and youths. We hope and expect to have the teachings in audio and video soon. Also in these days Brother George Herrig gave us a very important, in depth spiritual teaching which is very significant for our life. Additionally, Martin Kluson’s teachings helped us to add new spiritual knowledge in our understanding. His teachings demand decisions in certain areas of our life. Overall in these conference days we have seen God’s wonderful works as well as the defeat of the evil plan to interrupt the conference.

Something that stunned us was this: on one of the conference days, our friends, Sister Nancy, Sister Rita and I went for an evening walk from the hotel where we stayed. Alongside the sides of the road where we walked was thickly forested. There were also grassy plains. Here there were domestic cattle grazing without a shepherd. There was also a wire fence just for signs. This is a different experience from Ethiopia. In Ethiopia cattle are led for grazing and watched by a hired shepherd the whole day. As we walked further on we saw a pregnant cow trying to give birth; the moment she saw us she ran away. This was strange to me.

The Conference started October 25, 2013 Sunday evening, and was over on November 3, 2013 evening. While other attendants returned to Prague, Jemal and I went with Brother Tomas to his house which was not far away. The area where they live is near a city called Ostrava. This city was not far away from the Poland border. We stayed for three days between Ostrava and the border of Poland. In these days we had a chance to visit Poland and to buy materials. This was our first experience visiting Europe. We would like to express our special gratitude from the bottom of our hearts to Brother Kamil and his wife Tereska for giving their time to us so we could visit a fish production and museum. We also appreciate the hospitality they showed us in their home. We would like to pass on our gratefulness to Brother Tomas and his wife Magda, for the sisters who live there and to the fellowship for the love and care they showed us during the time we stayed with them.

After three days stay on November 6, 2013, Wednesday morning, Brother Tomas took us to the Ostrava train station. There we took a train and reached the Prague train station after a four hour trip. At the Prague station Brother Martin Hloska welcomed us with warm reception and took us to a Prague museum and international tourist destinations. Then he took us to his home and invited us to lunch with his family. After having nice chatting time with the family, he took us to Tesko international market center and he bought gifts for our family. Then Brother Hloska brought us back to Tursko, the village the fellowship is in. That same night we attended the weekly prayer program with the fellowship. Jemal and I prayed with this fellowship and shared with them scripture verses.

Following the prayer session we were invited for dinner at Brother Radek’s house. After the dinner was over we spent the night there. The next day we prepared our luggage. After having our breakfast at Radek’s house we passed our appreciation to his family and went directly to Prague International Airport with Radek. After our luggage was checked in we warmly thanked Radek and went to the waiting room. We can’t forget Radek and his family for their inexpressible reception. Let God bless them bountifully in all things.

At the end, according to Prague time counting, we took off from Prague by Turk airplane at 11:50 A.M. and reached Istanbul at 3:30 P.M. There we waited in transit for three hours and then flew to Ethiopia in the evening arriving at Bole International Airport at 1:30 A.M. At home we found our families in good condition. In all these trips and movement we give thanks to the Lord our God for His love, grace and protection. Let the Lord bless us in all things.

Czech Republic – August 2011

Dear Brethren,

Praise God and pass the ammunition!!

Since my last communication to you, which would have been from Kinshasa, DRC, I was privileged to be able to attend the Czech Camp for young people. It was indeed a blessing for me to be there to participate and observe the procedure, and to be a witness to the moving of the Spirit of God. The theme of the camp was on the life of Jesus and the effort that the brethren put into it was well worth it.

There was a difference between this camp and previous ones in that there were young people from outside the local Prague fellowship who came to participate. There were some that came from as far away as London and some from the surrounding area of Prague. All in all there was a very good crowd of young people ranging from the very young to those in their mid-teens. The brethren experienced challenges relating to behavior, obedience, and discipline as some of the young people came with their problems and differences of their individual perspectives.

There were many skits planned for each day that depicted the life and development of Jesus Christ as He was growing and making His way to the cross. I can say that without exception, each of the programs that I attended had the anointing and covering of Jesus Christ. It was quite moving and brought the reality of the Word of God to life and into the 21st century.

During the progression of days concerning His life and ministry, the young people were given opportunity to reflect upon their lives and the things that were hindering them from obtaining a closer relationship with God. I was given the privilege of overseeing the English speaking contingent that was attending the camp. The age group I would guess would be from seven to fourteen year of age. I have to say I was amazed at their honesty concerning their individual problems. They were very frank about it and wrote them down on a piece of paper and after that we had a discussion about it. We were able to have a time of prayer afterwards with each one highlighting their particular need and asking God to forgive them and help them overcome the weakness.

I believe that the highlight of the camp ministry, for me, as well as for many, was the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The reality of it all becomes quite predominate, as you see him hanging there between heaven and hell, the propitiation of all your sins and iniquities. It was indeed a time for personal self-examination, confession, and repentance. But then that is the word of God to the Holy Place Church in this hour. Stop in your transgression and sin, turn from it with a resoluteness of heart, and began to move aggressively from it toward the living reality of a resurrected Lord. Part of the trouble that the Holy Place church is in is that they initiated the process of salvation, by the acknowledgement of past sins and the acceptance of Jesus Christ, have been buried with Him in baptism but, as of yet, are refusing to walk in the newness of life and, as such, are in jeopardy of drowning. We seem to have the capacity of self, more than the capacity of Christ (Ephesians 4). We seem to be more interested in self-preservation than in death to self. If death to self is preached then the ministry is considered as being too hard or too demanding. I am not saying that there are not adjustments that can and should be made in the collective sense, but the collective sense is not something that will apply when we are asked as to why we, individually, have not put on our wedding garment. The friend that Jesus Christ referred to was a member of the Holy Place Church, one who once had the opportunity to be a part of the two witness company, but instead of being wise he found himself amongst the foolish, and when the door closed, he found himself on the outside!

There is a doctrine now being preached in the Holy Place church that is a strange doctrine of deception, a doctrine of strange fire. It is a spiritual spirit that has come as an angel of light to the members of the Holy Place church with a doctrine that makes excuses for sin. It is a doctrine that makes allowances and by which makes room for sin. It is a doctrine that takes the Scripture and twists it to say that it doesn’t mean what it says when the thought or the principle of the content of the Scripture is clearly a death to self-message. It is a doctrine that facilitates and perpetuates the formation and the solidification of the son of perdition; the Bible calls it the abomination of desolation that standeth in the Holy Place. The admonition is clear to those who minister within this realm between Heaven and Earth; they are to flee, not as one who runs to preserve one’s life, but they are to transcend this position of life to a higher level through the flaming swords of the cherubims that are represented in the Holy Place, by the Golden Altar of Incense that stands before the veil upon which the two cherubims are woven within the fabric of it. It is said that Jesus Christ came to baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire. We willing accept the position of the anointing of that initial baptism of Holy Spirit; we bask in His presence and we look eagerly to and for the manifestation of the gifts and the ministry that comes because of it, but when confronted with the thought that we too must now die, we balk like the mule who has a mind of its own and has no willingness to submit to the will of its master. Jesus made it very clear to His disciples both then and now that there was a baptism that He Himself must endure, and so it is also with us; we too must be baptized with that baptism, we too must drink of the fullness of that cup. We must be broken that we might preserve the eternal flame that has been placed within our hearts, that it also might become evident to those around us.

The Bible is quite clear as to the position of service that those who desire to be called the sons of God must come as is stated in Romans 12:1, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice. This is the Greek word “Zao” which by definition means “to live, breathe, be among the living (not lifeless, not dead)” [Strg G33936]. The following portion of the scripture defines the condition of said sacrifice, i.e. Holy as defined by Strong’s is the word “Hagios” which mean literally “the most holy thing.” This terminology “most holy” not only refers to the things that are in some way or manner connected directly to God, but it is also a term used to identify the Holy of Holies. That in and of itself is sufficient in that the offering had to be as perfect as the environment with which it was being offered. Let me again reiterate; the Holy of Holies was the place where the perfection that is God was to meet with man on the basis of the perfection of the sacrifice that was being offered.

We are now heading for the Congo, Brazzaville to be exact, from there we will fly to Bangui, which is the capitol of the Central African Republic where we will meet with several of the brethren from different places. I will be joining Brother Chijioke in Paris and we will fly from there to the Congo together. Your prayers are, as always, very much appreciated. As I mentioned your prayers are vital to the spiritual warfare we encounter.

A few days later…

Since we are just now able to send this note, I am back from the Congo where the meetings went very well. Praise the Lord! Please continue to pray as we are now in Sierra Leone. Communication is limited in Sierra Leone so we will keep you posted when we can.

God bless you,
Brother Burt
