Dearly Beloved Brethren,
May the blessings of God be unto each and every one of you who are washed by the Blood of Jesus Christ, that are called unto that glorious high calling which is reserved in the heavenlies for any and all that will press through the tribulation of this present world to touch the hem of His precious garment. May the Blood of Jesus Christ be apportioned unto each and every one of you today, that it might give you the strength and vitality to persevere against all doubt and fear that you might receive the reward for the diligence of your efforts and your untiring faith in the personage of the Man who is yet God, Jesus Christ.
We who are here in the fields of Ethiopia, fields that are ready and ripe for the harvest, greet you in that Name that is above every other name. That is the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Nancy and I arrived here on the evening of the 1st of January. When our feet hit the tarmac of Bole International airport, we hit the ground running and we have been running ever since. It is so marvelous to see the hand of God moving in the circumstance of us being here. The provision that is being made for us is so astounding that Nancy and I have to pinch ourselves to make sure that what we are experiencing is not a dream. There is a scripture that the Lord is speaking to me whenever I think of the substance of what He is doing for us and it is found in Mark 8:34, And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. It is the substance of the reality of God that I desire to see manifested in me and around me. I think of the blessing of the Creative Power of a living God that resides in me, a vessel that was destined for destruction, a vessel that was a vessel of dishonor, until the Blood of Jesus Christ redeemed me out of Hell! Psalm 139:8, If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. The only requirement that He demands of me is to be like Him!!! 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Job 7:17, What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? Hebrews 2:6, But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? 7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands 8:Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. The only requirement that he demands of me is to be like Him!!! Amazing! It is incredible! It is unbelievable that such an Omnipotent, Omnificent, and Omnipresent God would want to make me one with Him. Revelation 3:18, I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. Romans 8:16, The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. What a God! What a Word! What a promise! Oh, Lord Jesus, give us the heart to suffer; give us the desire to die that we may know the resurrection power of Jesus Christ as was spoken to Mary. John 11:25, Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
This is the message; this is the word that we are sharing with this people. They are a people who wanted to know the reality of God, who wanted to believe in the promise of a greater dimension of heaven than what they are now experiencing. Instead they have been brought into bondage to an ecclesiastical system of servitude and are being made to make bricks without straw. It is a word that births hope into their hearts and life into their soul. Genesis 2:7, And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. The plow of the Living Word is a plow that runs deep; it is a plow that has a mind of its own. Romans 8:26, Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. As with a seed it is a Word that has the ability to produce the desired product that was in God’s heart from the beginning. Genesis 1:26, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… And to us in this dispensation, John 1:12, But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:14, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Romans 6:4, Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
My beloved brethren, we are indeed rejoicing for the victory that God is giving us on a daily basis. We are to ask the Father “give us this day our daily bread;” but it is a bread not in the natural sense, but even as it is written, “I have meat to eat that ye know not of” (John 4:32). It is meat that produces a strength and a victory that will dissolve the darkness of this land and the gross darkness that is within the hearts of the people; it is a victory that will generate and produce the quality of light that shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not (John 1:5). It should be with us as it was with Jesus, “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work” (John 4:34).
We fervently thank each and every one of you for the support, the prayers the comfort that comes from the knowledge that there are those who are in Christ Jesus; who are put together for these last days to herald the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May God bless you!
Brother Burt and Sister Nancy
